This week news on the celebrity front on the DSE News Network is that: Johannesburg audiences are set for an electrifying live music experience as Shashl takes the stage at Hard Rock Cafe Sandton for a special concert titled One Nite Only with Shashl

The one-night-only performance promises a high-energy showcase of Shashl’s signature sound — bold, emotive, and driven by powerful live instrumentation.

Known for captivating audiences with an intense stage presence and authentic delivery, Shashl continues to carve a distinct space in the live music scene.

“This show is about presence, passion, and connection,” says Shashl. “One Nite Only is exactly that — one moment, one room, one unforgettable night.”

Set against the iconic backdrop of Hard Rock Cafe Sandton, a venue globally celebrated for legendary live performances, the concert offers fans a rare opportunity to experience Shashl in an intimate yet electric setting.

This will be her last African show before she embarks on an Australian tour for Zimbabwe independence, in Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne.

On the write up – Shashl reportedly began her music career in 2017 with the release of her debut single “No More.”
In 2018, she became the first Zimbabwean female musician to sign with Universal Music Africa, releasing the single “Blow It in the Wind” under the label. During her tenure with Universal, she released several singles and gained recognition in the African music scene.

In March 2022, Shashl released her debut 14-track album, Highway, produced by Levels of Chillspot Records. As from the year 2023 to the present: Shashl parted ways with Universal Music Africa, and embarked on an independent career, exploring a fusion of Afro-pop and traditional Zimbabwean sounds.

On 21 June 2025, Shashl launched her second studio album, The First Quarter, at the 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale, Harare. The album blends Afro-pop, soul, and dancehall influences, reflecting her growth in sound and narrative.
