Zimbabwe’s Women national soccer team, the Mighty Warriors, enjoyed seamless travel during the recently held COSAFA Women’s Championship in Polokwane thanks to Zororo Phumulani, which partnered with the team as their official transport provider.
The company supplied a branded bus that collected the Mighty Warriors from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and ferried them safely to Polokwane, where the tournament was staged.
After the competition, the same bus returned the team to Johannesburg, underscoring Zororo Phumulani’s commitment to supporting Zimbabwean athletes abroad.
In addition to transporting the players, Zororo Phumulani also provided a dedicated vehicle for Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Deputy Presidents Kennedy Ndebele and Loveness Mukura, as well as the Deputy Minister of Sport Emily Jesaya, ensuring that both leadership and government representatives had reliable mobility during the tournament.
Despite spirited performances, the Mighty Warriors’ campaign ended in heartbreak as they were knocked out in the semi-finals by South Africa.
The defeat was a tough blow, but the team’s resilience and determination won admiration from fans across the region.
